Addressing a press meet here, he said as there are allegations against Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, the probe should be carried out separately. Judicial probe should be held on land scams that have taken place in the last 15 years.

“A writ petition has already been filed in High Court demanding CBI probe into misappropriation in Upper Krishna Project. However, the case has not been disposed so far. Hence, CBI should probe into the misappropriation to bring out the truth,” he added.

“We could have accepted judicial probe if CM had announced it before allegations were levelled against him. Now Lokayukta should probe into allegation against Chief Minister separately. Judicial probe ordered by the Chief Minister was an attempt to escape from the allegations,” he alleged.

It is not right on the part of BJP MLAs for flaying the functioning of Lokayukta Justice N Santhosh Hegde.

“Lokayukta Justice N Santhosh Hegde is a honest person. The people of the state have supported him. Making allegations against him is a foolish act,” Subbaiah added.
Coming down heavily on Muttadishas for supporting Chief Minister, he said supporting Yeddyurappa was an insult to the ‘Khavi’ they are wearing.

People are tired of BJP, Congress and JD(S). To create an awareness on alternative political force, an awareness will be held throughout the State, he said.

‘Clear stand on world heritage site’

Former MLA A K Subbaiah said that former minister M C Nanaiah should make his stand clear on the issue of world heritage site to Talacauvery, Pushpagiri, and Brahmagiri sanctuary by the UNESCO.

Addressing a press meet, he said Nanaiah should break his silence on the issue. He should clarify his stand on the proposal. He said even Akhila Kodava Samaja President Mathanda C Monnappa has said that the proposal should be implemented in phases.

Flaying Congress for not appointing DCC President, he said we do not know whether Congress is alive or dead in the district.
