ETCM Hospital celebrates centenary year

Lauding the services at the hospital, Veeraiah said at a time when most hospitals “fleece” patients for their growth, the historical hospital stands tall among all the hospitals for its concern for poor patients.

Bishop Taranath S Sagar said health sector is witnessing rapid development with advanced technology introduced in it. “There was no hospital in the City when ETCM Hospital was set up. It was tough to convince people to come to the hospital in those days. However, it is not so. The hospital is equipped with staff and facilities too,” he added.

City Municipal Council president Nazia, John Hanchinmane, Hospital Administrative Officer and Superintendent Dr A Roopkumar were present. An emergency unit was inaugurated.
On the occasion, Dr H Paul, Dr M C Koshy and others were felicitated.

Hospital founder Dr Margaret Levis’ bust was unveiled at the hospital premises.
