Stating in a press release ABVP President K Vasanthkumar said that KSOU is considered to be one of the prestigious universities in the country and has been lauded as the seat of learning. Not only for the students from Karnataka, but students from across the country are pursuing their education and been awarded degrees every year.

But unfortunately, the University is in the limelight for all wrong reasons. The greed for money by the staff of the University would soon make it known as the most tainted university, they lamented.

The recently exposed tampering of mark sheets of the degree students, would remain a blot in its history of educational system. More than 200 cases of tampering of mark sheets of the BA, B Com theory answer sheets has been exposed by the visual and print media.

It now proves that those with money power can buy education and pass with flying colours. They do not realise that they are playing with the lives of hundreds of innocent poor students, the release stated.

The Universities are turning into marketing centres that issues tampered marksheets in exchange of currency. Corruption has taken deep roots in the minds of those serving in the institution.

Earlier, many employees were kept under suspension, when they were involved in irregularities related to examinations.

But, even after the exposure of marksheet scam in a large scale, the Vice-Chancellor or the administration have not taken any steps so far, the release alleged.

The Parishat demanded that the tampered marksheets been withdrawn immediately and the errant officials and staff should be suspended and order for a probe in the matter. If the matter is not considered seriously, ABVP would stage an intensified protest, the release added.

The ABVP had also enclosed complete details on the discrepancies indicating the roll number, packet number, subject, marks obtained and the tampered mark details.
