At the Cogress party office in Chikkaballapur, Moily told the reporters that the State government has been trying to hush up the land scams and corruption cases by refusing to hand over these cases to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for investigation.
He said: “The BJP is so stubborn that it has ignored the allegations of land scams even after the Lokayukta filed charge sheet against the suspects. Cancerous growth in corruption and land scams has affected the development of the State and if not curbed immediately, it may spread across the country.”
Referring the 2G spectrum scam that has stalled the Parliament sesssion, Moily said the probe can be entrusted to a JPC only after the issue is debated in the session.
