If looks could kill!

So what did the winners showcase which made them stand apart from the other teams? The winning team from MS Ramaiah College of Arts and Science had a very unique theme ‘Sufi’. The models showcased clothes from the Mughal age which comprised costumes props of the olden times. Abin Clement, team leader of MS Ramaiah college of Arts and Science said, “We worked very hard for this and I am so excited for the finals.” The 10-member team walked the ramp portraying loads of attitude and well-designed outfits. The make-up was loud and hairdo was elaborate in the bouffant style. The music chosen by the team for the performance was ‘Arabian Nights’.

The first runner up was the team MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, which had chosen ‘English Tea Party’ as its theme. The girls walked the ramp in dresses made of satin and high heels while the boys chose suspenders as part of their outfits. The bright make-up and elaborate hairdo with loads of curls, complemented the whole look. Nandita, a member of the team said, “We wanted to choose something different for our theme so we chose an ‘English Tea Party’ where we showcased the elegance of those times. We also wanted to dramatise it and that’s why all that talking and attitude on the stage.”

The girls from Mount Carmel College, the second runner-up for the evening, chose the ethnic theme where they showcased saris in red colour. Preethi M, one of the models said,

“We always feel ethnic is a better option and for this show we chose to showcase saris in red. There is something special about the colour as there is an aura around it and it is beautiful.”
