Villagers threaten to boycott ZP, TP election

The road connecting Dalit colony in Hosakoppa has not seen asphaltation for the last several years. The road from Doobala Kaimara to Hulase to Hosakoppa Dalit colony and Gaddemane-Basarikatte road are in deplorable condition. Inspite of submitting memorandum to the elected representatives, no action has been taken to repair the road so far. Women and children took part in the protest.

Villager Narayana said “MLA Jeevraj had visited Hosakoppa colony prior to the election and had promised to repair the road within six months. After the election, he has not turned his face towards the colony. The colony residents will boycott the forthcoming Zilla Panchayat and Taluk Panchayat elections. Moreover, elected representatives who visit the colony seeking vote will be boycotted,” he added.
