NHAI official inspects village for road project

Steps will be taken to avoid inconvenience to people

He interacted with the villagers and sought their opinion on the measures required to be taken for the development of the roads.

In the backdrop of the construction work which have begun for the laying of the eight-lane road project from Mudigere to Mulbagal, the official received various inputs for the betterment of the project. The discussion also included setting straight the road diversion between Veerapur and Boodaal, with the implementation of this project.

He also visited the spots for the construction of direct road connecting Appi petrol bunk near bypass road to the Church, via tank bed in Shidlaghatta town. People informed him that the road construction would help save houses and other commercial establishments near Mayur Circle from being demolished and also, other diversions can ben avoided.

People’s opinion

Narasimha Reddy explained that measures will be taken only after seeking people’s opinion and also after taking into consideration, the pros and cons of constructing a road.

The representatives of the World Bank will be inspecting the village on December 8 and 9, for the implementation of the project between Mudigere and Mulbagal.

After this, a detailed discussion will be held with the local people, police, tahsildar, deputy commissioner, political leaders and others.

“The project will be carried on in such a manner that adequate steps will be taken to ensure that it will not pose inconvenience to the others as far as possible, the official assured.

MLA V Muniyappa, former president of Hopcoms Bhaktahalli Munegowda, former president of taluk panchayat Moula, members of Veerapura village and several others were present on the occasion.
