Inaugurating the party workers convention here, he charged that the opposition parties were staging a dharna and demonstrations inside the House and had been making baseless allegations against him outside using media channels.

“If they have the tenacity, let them come for an open discussion on charges being levelled against me in the coming session of the State Legislature. I will expose them. Do the opposition party leaders have any self-respect?” he questioned.

People’s court

Training guns against Leader of Opposition in the State Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah, the chief minister said: “He (Siddaramaiah) has been talking beyond bounds.

He has been saying that Yeddyurappa is sure to go to jail once the Congress party comes back to power. The people’s court (Janata Nyayalaya) will decide who will go to jail, whether it would be you or me. Let Janata Dal (Secular) leaders like former prime minister, H D Deve Gowda and H D Kumaraswamy go to people with the charges against Yeddyurappa. I will go to people’s doorstep with the government’s achievements in the last two and a half years. Let the people decide whom to support and whom to reject. What sin I have committed to tender resignation?”

Turning philosophical on the note, the CM said he did not know whether he would reach home after this function; however, he would like to serve the people as long as he lives and has the energy to serve them.

Unfortunately, the opposition parties were not allowing him to function. “I will go to people seeking votes only after ensuring 20 hours uninterrupted power supply to villages in next two years. Otherwise I will not show my face to voters,” he said.
On MP H Vishwanath, Yeddyurappa said he has a lot of respect for the former as he was not a person to criticise just for publicity. “I will personally meet him and ask why he has been doing it,” he added.
