Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, CPM Udupi District Secretary K Shankar said the anti-corruption campaign against BJP government demanding the resignation of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will be part of poll campaign. However, the decision to hold state-wide protest has been temporarily suspended. The protest will be held after the elections.

He said that CPM is determined to join hands or to support externally any party to bring down corrupt BJP government.

“BJP is a government that is bound with all evil ideas to destroy democratic principles.

Nepotism, corruption and many other charges have been part of its governance. The government should resign for carrying out impartial probe into land scam. CPM has no trust in the judicial inquiry.” Shankar informed CPM will contest Basrur ZP constituency in Kundapur. Besides, the party has finalized 8 TP constituencies in Kundapur and 2 TP constituencies in Udupi to contest on its own.

It will filed its candidates from Kodi, Kawradi, Senapur, Marvanthe, Vanase, Tallur, Kakkunje and Hattiangadi in Kundapur, Chantaru and Tenkaneediyur TP constituencies in the district.
