Last Updated 12 December 2010, 17:16 IST

The man, identified as Ajit Singh, was frustrated on being denied an opportunity to meet the chief minister.

He is a resident of Kirmara village near Hissar. Singh was whisked away by cops who quickly swung into action.

In August this year, a youth had hurled his shoe at the chief minister in Mahendragarh town.

The 21-year-old was from the Kalanaur assembly segment, which falls in the chief minister’s district Rohtak.

Hooda is the second Haryana leader in the state to face such an outrage from the public.
Millionaire and Lok Sabha MP Naveen Jindal was also a target of shoe throwing recently. A retired school principal had hurled footwear at him in Kurukshetra, another Haryana town.
