Paddy harvesting machine demo in Sringeri

Inaugurating the programme, farmer K R Bhaskar Rao said that as the farmers are in trouble these days owing to the lack of labourers, it is quite a necessity for them to use machines so as to solve the problem. “Most of the paddy fields in the region are ready for harvesting. Despite delay in harvesting due to untimely rains, now the crops in the region are ready for harvesting giving away for lack of required labouorers. At this juncture, harvesting machines will act as a boon, thus farmers should make utmost use of it,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, one of the machinery owners, Nagesh informed that the machine is useful to harvest only in the marshy field where the paddy has not fallen in the field. The machine can harvest the crop in the entire field except the corners of the field. Using machine, the harvested crop can be dried up easily which is indeed a boon to the farmers, he said.
