Speaking at a convention of JD(S) workers, Yatnal alleged that in spite of the Supreme Court direction that sites of the Bangalore Development Authority should not be denotified at any cost, the chief minister had done so to help his own people.
He said former minister Katta Subramanya Naidu’s family which came to Bangalore from Andhra Pradesh for construction work had now earned over Rs 10,000 crore through illegal means. Alleging that the family of the chief minister got commission in the distribution of bicycles to schoolchildren and sarees to Bhagyalakshmi scheme beneficiaries.
Patil said even BJP national president Nitin Gadkari performed his son's marriage with the money given by Yeddyurappa.
