A platform for varied skills

Special sports events were organised for the girls, which included cricket, badminton, throwball, carrom, chess and table tennis. Short cricket, T20, long cricket, volley ball, basket ball and athletics were also thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Quick Bhojana or cooking without fire was organised for the first time and the students came up with many creative ideas.

Hogathon, where in delicious food was provided, turned out to be every student’s favourite event. Avalanche, an adventure event, pushed the students to their physical limits.

Treasure Hunt showed corners of the college hitherto unknown to even the senior students. The quiz contest gave the students an opportunity to showcase their knowledge. Events like Photography, Multitasking and Potpourri proved that no area was left
ignored.

The singing competition saw extremely gifted and talented participants enthralling the audience with their melodious rendition. The music bands too impressed everyone with their skill and co-ordination. The dance event included both traditional and Western styles. The festival ended with a highly enjoyable Indian fashion show, which was conducted with grace and glamour.

On the occasion, Venugopal K R, College Principal said that it was essential for students to participate in cultural and sports events in order to develop a balanced personality. Their inherent talents are exposed through such cultural activities, he added.
