‘Naada Vaibhava’

In memory of Vidushi Kamala Subba Rao, Vagadheeshwari Kala Kendra Trust is holding a grand veena recital called Naada Vaibhava by Ganakalashree Vidwan D Balakrishna.
He will be accompanied on mrudangam by B R Srinivas and on ghatam by Shrishailan.
The recital will be held on December 19, 6.15 pm at Jayarama Seva Mandali, 40th Cross, 8th Block, Jayanagar.

Dewar’s is presenting a first-of-its-kind musical collaboration called the The Dewarists on December 18, 9 pm at Opus. The event will see singer Susheela Raman in concert with Rajasthan’s musical sensations Chuggee Khan, Kutle Khan and Nathoo Lal Solanki.

‘Evening Ragas’

 ‘Ruhaniyat’

The Banyan Tree is organising Ruhaniyat — the All India Sufi and Mystic Music Festival 2010-11 on December 18, 6.30 pm at Jayamahal Palace Lawns.

It will feature Arabic Sufiana Mausiqi, Sufi Kalam, mystic songs, Bauls, Qawwals and the likes from across India and Egypt.

The performers are Barkat Siddhu and group (Punjab); Sufi Kalam — Kachra Khan and group (Rajasthan); Baul Songs — Parvathy Baul (West Bengal); Tannoura - Whirling Dervishes (Egypt); Arabic Sufi songs by Sheikh Abdel Hamid Alsharif, Mohamad Farghaly and group (Egypt); Sufi Qawwali by Hifzurrehman Hakimi and team (Kota).

Malleswaram Sangeetha Sabha is organising a music festival for young
musicians till December 18, 6.30 pm onwards at Ananya Auditorium, Malleswaram.
V Varijashree will present a flute concert on December 16 and there will be Hindustani concert by Anagha Bhat on December 17. On December 18, there will be a vocal concert by Priyanka C Prakash at 6 pm.
