District police and paramilitary force launched a combing operation in a jungle under Ghatsila sub-division, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Ranjit Prasad said.
Prasad said the landmines weigh five kgs each.
The security personnel recovered the explosives a day after having exchanged fire with CPI (Maoists) in Jiyan under the Ghorabandha police station area of the district
In the Jiyan gunbattle a Maoist suffered bullet injuries but managed to escape, while a hardcore woman Maoist identified as Shobha was arrested, police said.
