JOIN USThe award will be presented on December 19 at Jnana Mandira of Odiyur Sri Gurudeva Datta Samsthana.
Speaking to media persons, Bolara Narayana Shetty Memorial Trust Member Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli informed that this is for the second year the award is being conferred in memory of renowned Yakshagana artiste Bolara Narayana Shetty who is a big name in the Yaksgana field.
Prize money of Rs 10,000 along with citation will be given to the artists on the occassion.
Odiyur Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji will confer the award, while Karnataka Yakshagana Academy President Kumble Sundar Rao will preside over the function.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Kateel Mela Co-ordinator Kalladi Devi Prasad Shetty and Jeppu Chidananda Nayak from Kathar will be the chief guests on the occasion.
Lt Bolara Narayana Shetty’s son Bolara Karunakar Shetty who initiated the award programme was present.
