The deceased belong to Goraguntepalya of Bangalore. They have been identified as Jagadish (40), Saraswathamma (65), Rajamma (50), Pallavi (18), Rajamma (37) and van driver, Ramakrishna (40) of Sunkadkatte. The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Kollegal.
According to the police, the mishap occurred at a curve near Kokankere while going towards Malemahadeshwara Hills. They were on their way to Malemahadeshwara Hills, after visiting Gaganchukki and Barachukki falls. Malemahadeshwara Hills police have registered a case.
