Housing and District-In-Charge Minister V Somanna on Thursday claimed that no chief minister of any state in the country faced conspiracy as Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has been experiencing in the last two and a half years. Despite this, Yeddyurappa is concentrating on the development of the State, he added.

At a news conference here, Somanna said he did not know why Governor H R Bhardwaj has served notice to the government. In fact, Bhardwaj is a veteran politician and has in-depth knowledge of law. “I will not anything against him as I have a great respect for them. The CM will take suitable decisions regarding notices and other issues”, he added.

Reacting to the allegations made by Karnataka Handloom Development Corporation chairman, M D Laxminarayana against him, the minister said he was sad that baseless charges are made. “I don’t know with what intention he has made charges. I have not done anything that hurt him. But he has insulted me many times. Let the wisdom prevails upon him. I am optimistic that Laxminarayan will continue in BJP”.

Somanna ruled out any confusion among party workers regarding distribution of tickets and said the list is almost ready and it would be released in a day or two. The party is sure to open its account in ZP polls but he would not tell how many seats it would win.

The coming ZP/TP polls would show the strength of BJP in the district.

“I am not jealous of H D Revanna or any other leader. I am a representative of the State government. The government is not stagnant; but like a floating water. We have to win appreciation of people by doing works. We must explain voters the achievements of the government and seek their support”.
