Vidushi Kavitha and Vidushi Triveni are from a family of musicians. They were initiated into dance by their mother but later began their musical sojourn with Vidwan S P Nataraj and Vijayalakshmi. Following this, the duo had expert guidance from many musical stalwarts like Sangeetha Kalacharya Seethalakshmi Venkateshan, Sangeetha Samrat Balamuralikrishna, Bharatha Rathna M S Subbalakshmi, Padmabhushana Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, Dr V Doreswamy Iyengar, Sri V Shankar Iyer, Sangeetha Kalarathna H V Krishnamurthy, Ganakalashree H K Venkatram suggestive of the widespread musical expertise in them. The artists have won the appreciation of many for their performance at the national and international levels.
The ICCR has recognised their musical talent and expertise. They have brought out a large number of musical recordings to their credit facilitating widespread elaboration of their expertise. The concert is open to all the music lovers of Mysore.
