Published by Penguin Books, the book narrates the story of a young man who chooses the anti-social title of a terrorist at the time of  his death. In the beginning of the novel, a young man stabs a police inspector and is beaten to death in a small town in UP. The last words he speaks are, “My name is Jimmy the Terrorist.” The story revolves round the mysterious death of the youngster.

Announcing the launch of the book, Omair Ahmad noted that it is important to talk about people sidelined in history. He said the book tries to give a context to several incidents which occur at various parts of the country, especially the problems of marginalised sections.
