Gowda flays BJP leaders over Guv

Bhardwaj needs no lessons from them

Morever, the BJP leaders should not stoop to such depths of criticising the Governor who has served in various capacities as Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister in Union Government for fifteen years.

Reacting to the criticism of BJP leaders to the press persons here on Sunday,he advised BJP leaders to introspect before making such statements against the Governor.

Asked about the reply of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to the letters of Governor, Gowda said the CM has replied that no land scandal has occurred in the State during his tenure.

But, ironically the CM made an open statement that his family members had grabbed thousands of acres of land in surroundings of Bangalore and this would be distributed among the poor. “How can the CM refute such allegations and lie to the Governor that no scandals relating to land have occurred. However, he said that he would not like to comment on these issues. The governor would take suitable action depending on the reply given by the Chief Minister in connection with land and denotification scandal,” he added.

On the promise of appointment of ombudsman to probe the allegations of land and denotification scandals of BJP government in the manifesto released by Congress leaders on the eve of Panchayat polls recently, the former prime minister wanted the Congress leaders to set a trend by probing the allegations of 2G spectrum scam which the UPA government led by Congress is involved.

The Congress has released the manifesto which has no connection between what’s spoken and what has been registered in writing.
