HMT gets Rs 36 cr

 
The company officers’ federation recently met Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and urged him to announce a Rs 1,000-crore revival package to the Bangalore-headquartered factory in the budget.

In the last budget, the government had allocated just Rs 1.05 crore for plan expenditure. This year’s budget has increased its allocation to all institutions based in Bangalore. For Nimhans, Rs 118 crore has been  allocated against Rs 89 crore in the last budget.

For the Coffee Board,  Rs 153 crore has been allocated against last fiscal’s Rs 122 crore.
BHEL will get Rs 1,066 crore. For Kuduremukh Iron Ore Company Limited,  Rs 85 crore has been allocated. For the IISc, Rs 224 crore has been allocated against last year’s Rs 209 crore.
