India’s former world Junior No 1 Yuki was the winner of the prestigious Orange Bowl Junior tennis event. He was also the first Indian to win the junior Australian Open title in 2009. Thereafter, the youngster made India proud by bagging the silver medal at the 2010 Singapore Youth Olympic Games in August.

Bopanna also had a great year on the ATP circuit in 2010. He reached a career high ranking of 13 in November in the ATP doubles ranking. Partnering Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, he reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon and the finals of the US Open.
