'Rudraksha plants are useful'

He was speaking after planting rudraksha plants being brought from Nepal and Haridwar and planted in the premises of the ashram here.

The seer said there is a feeling that rudraksha plants don’t grow in south India; but it was possible if they take of the plants.

Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra said planting the medicinal plants would not only cleanse the atmosphere but it would also help to develop spiritualism.

Sri Sarpabhushana Swamiji of Murughamutt, Dharwad, Swamy Nirsarga from Isha Foundation, JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary, B N Betkerur, Deputy Conservator of Forests  D Yatishkumar, Vidwan M Mahadevappa, Dr B Suresh and Vasudev Bhat were present.
