Gold medal in IJSO 2010

Yash Gupta, a student of Resonance Eduventures’ Pre-Foundation Career Care Programme (PCCP) division, from Udaipur, has won a gold medal in the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) which took place in Abuja, Nigeria from December 2-10, 2010. A team of six students and three teachers represented India in this exam and for the first time ever India won 3 gold & 3 silver medals in the final stage.

ISME national conference

The International School of Management Excellence (ISME), in collaboration with the Quality Council of India, organised a conference on ‘Impact of Globalisation on Management Education: Curriculum to Careers’ recently. The objectives of the conference were to discuss the changes that are happening in the globalised world, examine needs and deficiencies of management curriculum, and to identify the changes required in management education. About 32 papers, including papers from Germany, Iran and Sri Lanka, were presented.

Alliance’s MoU with Indian institutes

Alliance Universities, Spain, has signed an MoU with six leading Indian institutions including the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore; Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi, Birla Institute of Management & Technology and Jaypee Education. The collaboration aims to facilitate internationalisation of higher education and develop programmes that benefit student and faculty exchange, joint research projects, online student research and graduate and post-graduate research co-supervision. Each university of the Alliance offers several scholarships/ fee waivers for post-graduate study and research for international students, totally amounting to 9 million Euros.

Victoria’s educators bound for India

A delegation of seven of Victoria’s leading providers of vocational education and training will network with Indian organisations providing industry and market knowledge, partnership opportunities and collaborations while developing business relationships. The delegation will also participate in the Confederation of Indian Industry Skills Summit in Mumbai. Victoria’s links with India will be strengthened with a Vocational Education and Training (VET) mission to Mumbai and Bangalore.
