"I am not a child. I have been in Parliament for 30 years. Most of their (BJP) leaders have not even spent 10 years," he said in a hard-hitting attack against the ruling party which has taken umbrage at his frequent outbursts against its government.

Asked for his response to reports that the BJP planned to petition the President seeking her intervention, he said "I do not want to say anything more than this."

Only two days ago, Bhardwaj had expressed his dissatisfaction over Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa's reply to his two letters on alleged land scams and illegal mining.

After being reminded by the Governor, Yeddyurappa had replied to his missives saying the charges were baseless and he had already ordered an inquiry by a retired High Court judge.

Embarrassed by Bhardwaj's repeated critical comments about its government, the BJP in Karnataka has accused him of behaving like an opposition leader and a Congress agent.
