Deepti left her Paschim Vihar home in her car and parked the vehicle on Moti Nagar flyover before allegedly jumping from it at around 7:15 am, a senior police official said.

Police is probing several angles including whether she suffered from harassment at office, family problems or had a friendship that turned sour to ascertain what led her to take the extreme step.

The victim, who worked in a BPO in neighbouring Noida, was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital (DDU) where she was declared brought dead. She had suffered multiple fractures.

According to police, her brother received two text messages from her before she jumped to her death saying she was “sorry”. Investigators have recovered a diary from the car which she drove to Moti Nagar and are examining it.

“We are also speaking to her brother and other family members as well as her co-workers,” the official said.

The official said investigators were checking the call details of Deepti. “We are checking who were in touch with Deepti before she took the extreme step,” the official said. Deepti had returned home after a night shift and in the morning, she went out on the pretext of going for a drive.

“We are examining whether she was depressed over some issues in office or personal relationships. We are also checking whether there was family related issues. We will talk to her family, friends and colleagues,” the official said.
