Revolt over ZP/TP tickets in JD(S)

Though majority of the rebels had withdrawn their nominations filed to ZP, TP polls bowing to the orders of party top brass on Thursday, which was the last day for withdrawal of papers, some remained in fray as independents. Hectic political activities took place at the residence of party leader M G Doddegowda, with leaders trying hard to convince rebels to step down from the candidature.

MLA H D Revanna had the tough task of convincing rebels Srinivasgowda and Swamygowda, as both of them had sought ticket from Bhuvanahalli ZP seat.
