KEC Int'l wins orders worth Rs 1,018 crore

"We are happy to see continuous order flow from our most of the business segments. This quarter has been very good for our order book.

With these orders, our total order intake for the quarter reaches to approximately Rs 2,400 crore," KEC International Managing Director and CEO Ramesh Chandak said in a statement here.

In the transmission segment, the firm has secured three orders for 765 kV transmission lines construction from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (RRVPN, India), Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL, India) and Eskom (South Africa), it said.

The Rs 313-crore RRVPN order is for construction of 765 kV transmission lines between Baran to Jaipur on turn-key basis.

The PGCIL order value of Rs 130 crore is for the supply and construction of 765 kV single circuit transmission lines between Odissa's Angul to Jharsuguda.

The Eskom's Rs 90-crore order is for construction of 765 kV transmission line between Gamma to Kappa on turn-key basis in South Africa.

KEC International is a global leader in power transmission EPC business and leading Infrastructure EPC company.

In addition, KEC's wholly-owned subsidiary SAE Towers has secured Rs 246-crore supply orders in the Americas.

These transmission tower orders worth Rs 208 crore are from the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and transmission line related hardwares orders from Brazil worth Rs 38 crore, the statement said.

In the railway segment, the company has secured various orders for civil works from Indian Railways worth Rs 97 crore.

In the cable segment, KEC International has secured supply orders for telecom cables, low tension, high tension and extra high voltage power cables from various customers worth Rs 135 crore.

With these new orders and execution up to last month, the company's total order book stands at its highest ever, Rs 7,400 crore.
