No night move for trains in Maoist-hit areas till Jan 6

Last Updated 30 December 2010, 11:51 IST

"In view of security reasons, running of passenger trains on Kharagpur-Adra, Chakradharpur-Rourkela and Kharagpur-Tata section will continue to remain suspended up to Jan 6 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m," a railways release said.

Accordingly, some train services have been diverted, re-scheduled and regulated, it said.

The railways have been restricting the movement of trains following the May 28 Gyaneshwari Express sabotage in West Bengal’s West Midnapore district in which 148 people were killed.
