Saif's fifty spurs Indian High School

Batting first, St Joseph’s Boys put up a respectable total of 223 in the allotted 50 overs with Saneeth Noronha and Kunal P Sanghvi slamming 92 each. GR Abhay and Nadeek Khan were the pick of the bowlers for St Joseph Indian High School, scalping three for 37 and two for 27 respectively to slam the breaks on SJBHS’ batting card.

In reply, Saif Siddique, ably aided by Anirudh Chakravarthy (40),  scored 97 runs to help St Joseph’s Indian High School romp home with six overs to spare.

Brief scores (quarterfinals): Vivekananda School: 126 all out in 29.2 overs (Abbas 46, Naveen 27; A Sachin 4-42, RS Karthikeyan 3-20, 2-36) lt to Bishop Cotton Boys School: 127/3 in 33.2 overs (KA Rakshith 49 n.o, Purva 34; Abbas 2-33).

Bethany High School: 171/8 in 50 overs (K Amith 35, H Ashwin 25; Sahil Saleem 2-27) bt Presidency School, Nandini Layout: 135 all out in 35.3 overs (Zaffaruddin 54; Adithya Reddy 3-15, S Shreyas 2-22, H Ashwin 2-30).

Presidency School, RT Nagar: 222 all out in 48.2 overs (Zunaid Khan 74, Virender Singh 72; Ankush 5-31, Kashyap 3-30) bt Delhi Public School (South): 159 all out in 41.2 overs (M Vineeth 43; Iqlas Naha 4-31, Akash V 2-12, Sufian 2-23)
