Minor kills friend for imported cell phone

The alleged culprit identified as Monu Rajbhar, a resident of Udiawan village in the district, wanted to have the deceased’s cell phone for listening to the popular Bollywood numbers and so he killed his classmate, a police official said.

According to reports, Monu’s friend and classmate in the local school Fakhre Alam had a mobile, which was sent to him by his brother settled in a Gulf country. Fakhre Alam had stored several Bollywood hit numbers in his cell phone and used to play them before his friends regularly.

Alam had no idea that his own friend Monu was hatching a conspiracy with the help of another friend to eliminate him and take his cell phone, said SP Amit Verma.

On Thursday, Monu called Alam out of his home on the pretext of taking him to school and slit his throat with a knife after taking him to a lonely spot at Para village. The duo left Alam’s cycle on the spot but fled with his mobile phone. They cleansed their blood stained shirts and hid the cell phone under the soil near Monu’s house.
