The services of multi-purpose rehabilitation workers and rural rehabilitation activists should be regularised as they play a vital role in taking the facilities to the doorsteps of the specially abled people.

Besides, they demanded to resume the programme of rehabilitation of specially-abled in rural and urban areas, to provide 5 per cent reservation in all government departments and insurance cover.

They came down heavily on chief secretary and officials of Women and Child Welfare for not fulfiling their demands.
