A delegation from the Catholic community, among them members of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee met(GPCC) Shantaram Naik, MP, on Wednesday.

GPCC General Secretary Altinho Gomes said the travel costs to Jerusalem were prohibitive and only a few people could make the journey to the Christian holy land.

Catholic pilgrims form a large part of the outbound traffic from Goa in recent years with travel agents offering special package tours to the holy land.
