Lawyers urge Guv to ignore petitions

Members of Advocates Forum for Democracy took out a march from Karnataka High Court to Raj Bhavan shouting slogans “stop politicising Raj Bhavan”...”Raj Bhavan is not 10, Janpath.” They later submitted a memorandum to the Governor pressing their demand.

Two judicial authorities, the Karnataka Lokayukta and the B Padmaraj Commission of Inquiry, are already probing into the allegations. Giving permission for a third agency to conduct a probe will be an insult to the constitution, the Forum said in the memorandum.

Moreover, people had voted the Government for five years. The Opposition parties are trying to destabilise the Government. The Governor should not help the Opposition parties in their undemocratic move, the forum urged.
