JOIN US“As far as a strategy is concerned, the strategy is pretty laid (out). For me, the first thing I will do is to see how it fits into our portfolio and in terms of growth drivers in the short-term and medium-term,” he said. “We have a quarter to deliver and I have to execute for the quarter and the next couple of quarters,” said Kurien, who was brought in to head the IT business of the company. “We have an excellent team at Wipro. That team needs to be energised to make sure that we deliver both short-term and long-term,” said Kurien, who replaced joint CEOs Suresh Vaswani and Girish Paranjpe.
“Growth pretty much depends on the portfolio you play,” he said. “We should be really making investments that have growth behind them, but it is not necessary defocusing on those that do not have growth,” he added.
Putting in place the organisational resources to make sure that delivery in these priority areas is executed is also on top of his agenda, Kurien said.
