Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and Governor H R Bhardwaj will come face-to-face the first time after the prosecution stand-off, at the R-day parade. Bhardwaj is scheduled to receive the guard of honour at the parade grounds and also address the gathering.

The chief minister will take part in the programme, but he will not deliver a speech. The Governor will host high tea to select invitees at the Raj Bhavan in the evening. The chief minister, his Cabinet members and mediamen are also invited to the event. While the chief minister’s office said Yeddyurappa would attend the R-Day parade, it was silent on its attendance at the Governor’s do. Both will have to share a dais at the cultural programme organised by Kannada and Culture Department. They have also been billed as chief guests to the event to be held at Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bangalore.
