Gothic and eerie
Sleepy Hollow

starring Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, Christopher Walken and Miranda Richardson airs on HBO at 9 pm on July 13. Director Tim Burton gives Washington Irving’s classic period-folklore-horror story a gothic touch.

Ichabod Crane is a New York City police constable, who brings the latest crime-solving techniques to investigate the brutal murders that have disrupted peace in the town of Sleepy Hollow.

Crane arrives to find the victims beheaded, supposedly by a Headless Horseman, who the frightened townspeople claim has returned to haunt them.

As Crane investigates with the help of the well-bred Katrina Van Tassei, he slowly uncovers the eerie truth behind the town’s killer.

Shweta TiwariShweta and Aman team again
After doing soaps and anchoring shows, popular television stars Shweta Tiwari and Aman Verma will now be seen struggling to survive in a jungle in Sony’s new adventure reality show Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao starting July 13.

They are among the ten participants who have agreed to be part of the reality show shot in Malaysia’s oldest and largest Taman Negara tropical rain forest.

Others to join them are television actors Aakashh Deep Saigal and Chetan Hansraj, pop singer Anaida, model coordinator and choreographer Marc Robinson, actress Mona Vasu, former Roadie Palak and hip-hop artist Ishq Bector.

A lawyer called Fiza, whose earlier name was Anuradha Bali, will also be in the jungle.
She has been in the news since last year after marrying then deputy chief minister of Haryana Chand Mohammed, earlier known as Chandra Mohan.

Aman Verma The show, which is an adaptation of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, will see the ten celebrities swap a life of luxury to survive in the Malaysian rain forest, in a bid to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.

“The show has been well-received by audiences internationally and we are sure that the innovative concept will entertain and keep the viewers on the edge of their seats wondering what next?” said Gurdip Bhangoo, programming head of the channel.

Hosted by Mini Mathur and Yudi, the show air every Monday to Thursday at 10 pm and Fridays at 9 pm.
