Additional City Civil and Session Court Judge C B Hippargi directed the petitioners to file their objections on an application moved by Sohan Kumar, son-in-law of Yeddyurappa, seeking a stay on the proceedings on the ground that the matter was under investigations by the Lokayukta.

C H Hanumantharaya, counsel for petitioner Sirajin Basha, said he would submit his objections tomorrow, after which the hearing was adjourned. Basha and another advocate Balaraj have filed five complaints against Yeddyurappa, his sons B Y Vijendra and B Y Rahavendra, MP and others after Governor H R Bhardwaj gave consent to prosecute them.

The complaints pertain to 15 alleged instances of irregularities in denotification and allotment of land by Yeddyurappa. The court had yesterday ordered that the hearing of common arguments relating to the five complaints would be taken up from February 4.
