'Don't commercialise yoga centres'

Speaking after participating at a programme held at Yoga school at Maharaja Park premises here, he said mushrooming of several yoga centres in the city had paved way for commercialising this oldest art of keeping mind and body healthy. They were misleading people who had shown inclination towards yoga.

He also lauded yoga exponent H B Ramesh for providing free yoga education for the last 36 years. Shankar also assured to take care of the existing problems faced by the yoga centres. H B Ramesh, a yoga expert, said thousands of students, who have learnt yoga in the institute, has been teaching the people and spreading awareness on the health benefits of yoga. “I will continue to hold free yoga classes in future”, he added.
