New chief to reorganise all Cong bodies

Cong will protest if the ruling party misuses the police dept or administrative powers

Speaking to Deccan Herald, he said “in the present political situation, Congress has to function like a progressive Opposition party. If the ruling party implements progressive programmes in Kodagu, then we will support it. If they fail to respond to the woes of the people, then we will awaken them. The party will not tolerate the corruption and poor quality of work,” he warned.

“The Congress will protest if the ruling party misuses the police department or the administrative powers,” he added. 

He said that efforts will be made to organise the party. The DCC committee, Youth Congress unit, Mahila Congress, Backward community unit, NSUI unit, SC/ST unit, minority unit, Seva Dal will be revamped in the district,” he added.

Pradeep said “the party will give priority to those who are sincere to the party. Those who remained away from the party owing to various reasons will be brought back to the fold of the party and their service would be utilised for the development of the party.”

More and more youth will be enrolled to the party.  The party will protest against the basic problems being faced in Kodagu. The main roads and interior roads are in deplorable condition. The ZP, district administration and the state government will be pressurised to repair the roads.

The government will also be urged to solve the drinking water woes in towns and villages. The party will support the cause of railway connectivity to Kodagu along with solving the voltage problems in Kodagu, Pradeep added.

To take charge

DCC President B T Pradeep will take charge on Wednesday at 10 am. KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar, Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, MP H Vishwanath, actor Ambarish, MP H Vishwanath, former council chairman B L Shankar, MLA Dinesh Gundurao and others will take part in the programme.
