Cheque dishonour complaint against Rajnikant's wife withdrawn

The complaint was filed in 2009 by R Sumerchand Bafna of Swastic Finance Corporation alleging that cheques given by Lata and Soundarya Rajnikant toward repayment of Rs 20 lakh borrowed by Ocher Studios for Tamil film "Goa" were dishonoured.

23rd Metropolitan Magistrate Court had ordered summons to Lata and Soundarya to appear before it today. But as the two did not appear, Magistrate K Ravi issued a bailable warrant against them.

However in the afternoon, the complainant filed an application stating that the case would be settled out of court, following which the court dismissed the complaint as withdrawn.
