'Simplify process to get income certificate'

“Students are struggling to get income certificate to get admission to schools and colleges,” said CPI, Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and DSS.

In a press release, they urged the district administration to simplify the process to get income certificate. Earlier students were getting income certificate by paying Rs 2. However, now they have to spend hundreds of rupees to get a certificate. To get income certificate, one has to collect application form from Nemmadi Kendra by paying Rs 20. He also has to get Notary attestation on Rs 20 worth stamp paper.

The release said after collecting the application form, one has to get signature from Village accountant and submit the same to the Taluk office. The villagers of Baskal have to travel 45 kms to Anoor to get application form.

KDP meet on May 11

The KDP meeting will be held at Zilla Panchayat auditorium on May 11 AT 11 am in ZP hall.
