The selection would be through election and there is no question of nominating anybody. It would help in identifying loyal party workers. Around 30 members will be inducted into the youth congress unit at booth level. As many as 46, 280 booths would be revamped in the state.

Krishna said the party was facing stiff competition from regional parties and communal forces at many states in the country. The youth Congress would emerge as powerful organisation which would strive hard to bring back the party to power. The purpose of the membership drive was to help the youths to join politics. Training programme to educate the members on various party disciplines will be held in the coming days.

Member of Parliament R Dhruvanarayan, MLAs H S  Mahadevaprasad, C Puttarangashetty, R Narendra, former MLA Jayanna and others were present.
