The recognition was given after undertaking inspection of available infrastructure facilities in these colleges, he said in a statement here.
The MCI has approved an intake of 100 students in each of the new colleges in Belgaum, Shimoga, Hassan, Mandya, Raichur and Bidar, he said.
The colleges will begin functioning this year and students would be admitted on merit-cum roster through CET, he said.
