ICSE, ISC exams begin today

As many as 7,582 students of Class 10 and 1,010 students of Class 12 are appearing for the examinations in the State.

The ICSE has seen a five per cent increase in the number of students appearing for the exam this year. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of the exam-takers followed by West Bengal and Maharashtra. Karnataka has a little under 100 ICSE and ISC schools, with the maximum number of schools from Bangalore. About 1.23 lakh Class 10 students and 58,000 Class 12 students are appearing for the exams across India.

The ICSE exams start at 10.45 am and the ISC exams at 1.45 pm. The Council has asked the students to reach the centres with their admit cards at least 15 minutes before the scheduled hour. The students are also not allowed to use clipboard.

While ICSE students will not be allowed to use calculators, ISC students can make use of prescribed calculators during the examination. The examinations conclude on March 26 for Class 10 and on March 31 for Class 12.
