Students release baby tortoises into wild

Tortoises were wounded when they were caught beneath the plough of a farmer at Anchalli.

Later, the farmer handed  them over to the school. Under the guidance of the head master and writer Raghunath the students took care of eight baby tortoises for ten days.

On Thursday the students let the healed baby tortoises into the wild. Raghunath, whose hobby is to treat wounded birds and animals is trying to inculcate the same among his students.

Also, this is one of the ways to teach students about their responsibility towards the environment.
