Replying to a question posed by Congress MLC Motamma, Yeddyurappa said that officials have put in a special effort to make sure that the affected people are compensated adequately. He added that the exact compensation for the project would be known once the Krishnappa Report on the value of property is submitted.

Earlier, in his written reply to Motamma, the CM submitted that the estimated compensation for the 989 properties, which will be acquired for Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) work is Rs 1664.14 crore. In his reply to V R Sudarshan  (Cong) on the extension of Metro Rail, Yeddyurappa said the tenders for the RV Road terminus to Puttenhalli Cross and Yeshwantpur to Hesarghatta line will be finalised by the end of the month.

He assured hostel residents who had protested against BMRCL on M G Road that they will not face any trouble on account of the work.

He said that the hostel would not be affected as the property being used is vacant land belonging to the Social Welfare Department. Further, he added that in the event of a situation where the hostel may have to be relocated, an even better hostel will be built for the students.

In a written reply to a question posed by Member of Legislative Council H C
Neeravari, the CM admitted to not following the Municipal Solid Waste rules of 2000.
