AI all-women crew flight soars

Capt. Deepa was the Commander of the flight, AI – 569 and Capt.Deepshika was the Co-pilot.  While Sewika, T Ghosh, Sandeepika, Upasana and Chetna were also part of the unique initiative.

The same crew operated the return flight AI-671 on the Mumbai-Chennai sector also and they were felicitated on their arrival in Chennai.

Capt. Deepa has  the experience of more than 7,500 flying hours, including command experience of  4,000 hours, operated the All Women Crew flight for the fifth consecutive year during the Women’s Day. 

Air India has a large contingent of 157 women pilots flying its fleet of wide and narrow body aircraft on international and domestic routes. 

Air India has more than 5,300 women employees on its workforce.
