President to visit Manipur, insurgents call 40-hr strike

Sources said the programmes of the President were not yet announced in view of the boycott call of the visit given by some insurgent organisations.

Manipur People's Liberation Front (MPLF), formed by major insurgent organisations of United National Liberation Front (UNLF), Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) and People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK), called for boycott of Patil's visit and a 40-hour general strike in the state from this midnight.
